Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post on ~Foodie with a Passion~! Happy Saturday everyone and I hope you’re having a great weekend so far. Today is a pretty big Fred Meyer military day haul so remember to hit that subscribe button so you don’t miss another Foodie Fun 🤩
No particular introduction needed; this week was the third Thursday of the month and we’ve been cooking with what we had in our kitchen so I’ve had to replenish quite a few things. Unfortunately things on sale were obviously out so I’ll have to go to another store for it while they’re still on sale.

- Cucumber – I’ll be meal prepping some salads over the weekend so I needed it
- Garlic Clove – we still had minced garlic in the jar but completely out of fresh garlic
- Red Onions – we bought one last week to hold us over; got 3 so we could use our coupon
- White Mushrooms – another coupon for mushrooms as always
- Broccoli – on sale for 97 cents/lb
- Driscoll’s Raspberries and Blackberries – they were out of stock last week so I had a rain check coupon for 4/$5. I’ll wash and freeze these since I didn’t buy any frozen fruit today
- Lucerne Unsalted Butter (x2) – one of the items I got at Safeway only because Fred Meyer was sold out. They were $1.97 each at FM but Safeway had it cheaper for $1.79. The original idea was to get it on military discount but Safeway ends up being cheaper since FM was out
- Private Selection Parmesan Wedge – I had a digital coupon to use and this ended up on the freezer since we have no backup right now
- Kroger Colby Jack Block – for the charcuterie board on Monday’s Game Night/Christmas Party with my BFF
- Kroger Nacho Taco, Italian, Mozzarella and Mexican Blend Shredded Cheese – assorted shredded cheese for the month. I still have a big bag of cheddar Jack if we use it all up. 4/$6 was the deal this week
- Kroger String Cheese – and for an easy snack idea since we haven’t had any in a while

- Kroger Honey Ham (x2) – for Christmas $1.27/lb. Got two for the price of one compared to the commissary. Apparently it was $3.50/lb
- Kroger Hardwood Smoked Bacon – on sale for $14.97. I’ll divvy this up and freeze it

- Kroger Mixed Vegetables (x2) – planning for shepherds pie and fried rice. I had a coupon to get a discount for purchasing 2
- Birds Eye Rainbow Cauliflower and Green Beans – also a coupon for getting a discount if I bought 2
- Kroger Combination Pizza Rolls – on sale to begin with and a digital coupon was available as well. For Hubby and Roomie if they wants quick s ack

- Kroger Carb Balance Tortillas – I still have breakfast burritos in the freezer but I wanted to make sure I had backup
- Private Selection Kona Blend K-Cups – for my office and I also had a digital coupon
- Simple Truth Sea Salt Roasted Peanuts – my monthly bag of peanuts. Except I didn’t use much this month even after I made granola.
- Kroger Apple Cider Vinegar – we’ve used it for smoking our meats so I was completely out
- Sesame Oil – almost out so I bought one for backup. I like this brand a lot. The fragrance is amazing!!
- Kikoman Soy Sauce – back up for the pantry since I’ll be making a bunch of New Years food again
- Herbox Chicken Bouillon Granules – I got this one at Safeway; I had a digital coupon
- Kroger Onion Soup Mix – I used the last one the other day for burgers so I needed another box. I’ll be making meatballs and meatloaf again
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips – I got the this one for free. Buy 2 get 1 free participating baking items
- Kroger Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips – 3/$5 so it was a great deal. I’ll be baking Christmas cookies for my coworkers this weekend
- Kroger Original Mac n Cheese (5-pack) – I found this five pack of Mac n cheese. I probably won’t buy Mac n cheese for a while. It’s just one of my comfort foods from when I was a kid.
- Kroger Split Pea – for when we make split pea and ham soup with leftover ham from Christmas
- Kroger Navy and Pinto Beans – probably going to do so more chilis, taco soup, etc so I gotta have those beans

- Kroger Pork & Beans – we still have some ribs in the freezer so I’ll probably serve these baked beans with it
- Kroger Golden Corn (4-pack) – I always had bought 3 cans individually so when I saw a 4-pack, I figured it would be cheaper to buy in bulk. So I did
- Kroger Cream Style Corn – for Creamy Corn Soup on Christmas Eve
- Kroger Cream of Mushroom (x2) – I’ve got some pork loin I need to cook in the slow cooker so I’ll be using this to cook and then thicken to make a sauce out of it
- Kroger Tomato Paste – for shepherds pie next week and if I don’t use all of it, I’ll freeze it for next time
- Kroger Italian Style Stewed Tomatoes (x4) – for soups and chilis so I had to make sure I had some canned tomatoes for it
- Keebler Toast and Peanut Butter – I have we completely out and even though I always say I’m tired of these as a snack, it’s one of my quick go-tos
- Kroger Bay Leaves and Ground Cumin – part of the buy 2 get the third free sale. I was almost out of both
- Classico Pesto – for Caprese Pesto Chicken; this is the only one I can eat since it doesn’t have pine nuts
- Kroger All Purpose Flour – and I go through these pretty quickly so I made sure to grab some
And there you have it! Let me know in the comments below what you got and what you plan to make and until then…signing off!
