BBQ Brisket Pizza 🍕

Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post on ~Foodie with a Passion~! It’s Thursday and we are almost to the weekend! I hope everyone’s having a good week so far and looking forward to the weekend. Today is a recipe that will definitely be a repeater in my house. But before we get started, remember to click subscribe so you don’t miss another Foodie Fun 🤩

Alrighty! So I’ve been addicted to making my own pizza dough but topping wise, I’ve done a few variations from your classic toppings. I always have salami and pepperoni in the fridge but if you remember a couple weeks back, I did Taco Pizza, which I did a Mexi-Italian fusion. Well this time, I decided to use some of the brisket that was in the freezer (the one we made a few weeks ago) and use that as a topping and boom 💥 we have a BBQ Brisket Pizza 🍕

Before Baking
After Baking

Ingredients

  • Your Favorite Pizza Dough (https://sugarspunrun.com/the-best-pizza-dough-recipe/) – I used this one and doubled it to make 2 pizzas
  • BBQ Sauce for your base and for drizzling – I used Bull’s Eye Kansas City BBQ for the base and Stubb’s Sticky Sweet for the drizzle
  • Shredded Cheese – I used Cheddar Jack. For some reason, cheddar seems to be an excellent choice whenever I combine with BBQ
  • Toppings – Diced Brisket, Spinach, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and Red Onion

Directions

1) Make pizza dough, if you are making it.

2) While dough is proofing, prepare your toppings.

3) Lay parchment paper on pizza pan. Spray with non-stick spray. Preheat oven to 425°F.

4) Roll out your pizza dough and use a fork to puncture the dough in various spots to create air vents for it.

5) Slather on some BBQ sauce for your base and sprinkle cheese on top.

6) Put all your toppings on and put pizza in the oven. Bake for 15 min or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Slice and serve hot.

And there we have it! You can substitute chicken or pulled pork instead of brisket if you prefer. Any BBQ meat will work. Let me know in the comments below if you try this recipe and until then… signing off!
